Movement enriches the counselling session
Walk and Talk counselling takes place outdoors, and the location for this is decided with me during our initial contact, once we have established that you would like to have therapy outside. A session takes place in the same way that it would indoors, with clear boundaries in place with regard to time and confidentiality etc and we talk as we would normally except that we are outside.
One advantage of Walk and Talk therapy is that it can bring the natural restorative power of nature into the therapy process. I have found that adding some movement can enrich the therapy, and that many clients are attracted to the idea, and are naturally drawn to being outside.
